Join the remote.qa QA Talent Network
For QA engineers, SDETs and AI/ML testers who work remotely. Tell us what you do, and we reach out when a client engagement fits your skills and availability.
Who this is for
remote.qa builds managed QA teams for product companies, and every team is made of real engineers. The QA talent network is how we find them. It is for people who already do the work:
- QA automation engineers who write and maintain UI and API test suites
- SDETs who treat test code like production code and own the framework, not just the cases
- Mobile testers working across iOS and Android, manual and automated
- AI/ML testers who evaluate LLM features, build eval harnesses, and know what a regression looks like after a model swap
If you work remotely, or want to, and you are comfortable on a distributed team, you are the person we want to hear from.
What joining means
Joining puts you on our candidate bench. When a client engagement comes up that matches your skills, time zone, and availability, we contact you about it. That is the whole deal.
- No fees for engineers. You never pay to join, to be matched, or to be placed.
- Matching only. We use your details to match you with relevant engagements and to get in touch about them. Nothing else. Our privacy policy covers how we handle your information.
- No guarantees. Engagements depend on what clients need at the time, so we cannot promise a match or a timeline. We would rather be upfront about that.
Share your skills and availability, and we will reach out when a remote QA engagement matches your profile.
What we look for
We keep this practical. The engineers who fit our teams usually have:
- Hands-on test automation in a real codebase, with a framework like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Appium, and tests that run in CI
- API testing experience, from contract checks to the edge cases that break integrations
- Mobile or AI testing depth if that is your specialty, including LLM evaluation, prompt testing, or device coverage
- Clear async communication. Bug reports someone else can reproduce, short written updates, and the habit of flagging risk early
You do not need every item on that list. Depth in one area plus solid fundamentals goes a long way. If you want a sense of what to show, our QA engineer portfolio guide covers the projects that make skills easy to verify.
What happens after you join
We review your details against current and upcoming client needs. If there is a fit, we set up a short intro call to talk through the engagement, your experience, and how you like to work. If there is not a fit right now, you stay on the bench and we come back to you when something matching comes up.
Meanwhile, keep your own search going. The remote QA engineer jobs guide covers where remote QA roles get posted and how to stand out.
Frequently asked questions
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Joining the network is free for engineers, and so is being matched with an engagement.
Is this a job application?
Not for a specific role. It puts you on our bench so we can contact you when a client engagement matches your skills. You decide whether to take any conversation further.
Can I join if I am still moving into automation or AI testing?
Yes. Tell us where you are today and what you are building toward. We match on the skills you have now, and your profile can grow with you.
